Unwanted Adds
I found this in the Admin Help Section hope it helps, Forumotion know of the problem and are working on it hummm?
As moderator of the computer section of the forum I am a member of,
I have suggested that all our members should install ad blocking software,
it is free and two different types are available for either Internet Explorer or Firfox browsers, with maybe other software available for Chrome, Safari or other browsers.
The add blocking software for Internet Explorer is " Simple Addblock" available for download here=
http://www.ieaddons.com/gb/details/toolbars/Simple_Adblock/
and for Firefox it is called "Addblock Plus" and is available from here=
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/
Once these are installed as add ons to your browser, most adverts are blocked from appearing on your screen.
End of problem wherever you go, no more adverts anywhere.
It is well worth mentioning this to all your forum members, OK it doesn't stop Forumotion from sending these adverts, it just stops them from interfering with your pleasure. Forumotion get paid by the advertisers, we don't see the adverts. Seems good to me.
I just wish there was some way to block the adverts on my television programs.
